RISE — chapter: creature

“RISE” is a queer-manifesto of love and self-acceptance. The game seeks to recreate some aspects of a queer person's lived experience as game mechanics and in so doing expand our understanding of ourselves. The game is divided into several chapters, each one dedicated to a specific part of the subject. Every chapter is presented as a separate mini-game with its own gameplay and distinct visuals. 

The question this particular chapter is asking is whether or not we are able to accept ourselves as we are, no matter how frightening this may seem. The goal of the game is to help a scientist to make sense of an alien creature growing inside them. To that end, the player has access to the scientist's health indicators and is able to adjust their lifestyle accordingly.
